Welcome to Active Life Chiropractic!

Located in Newburyport, Dr. Adam Palombo is a Doctor of Chiropractic, with post graduate certification in sports Chiropractic. You are likely visiting this site because you have been or are currently experiencing an uncomfortable or painful problem within your body.  You may even be seeking a second opinion or feel that you have been misdiagnosed. At our clinic, every new patient's journey begins with a detailed examination in order to identify the correct sources for your discomfort, or diagnosis.

Dr. Adam Palombo's examination procedures use evidence-based Clinical Reasoning in Spine Pain (CRISP) protocols. Treatment plans frequently combine chiropractic adjustment (manipulation), soft tissue manipulation, scar tissue mobilzation, or specific exercises.

Just like many good relationships are founded upon clear communication, your experience at the clinic will start with a detailed discussion surrounding the origins of your symptoms. Often times, small changes in routine can be responsible for big problems in your body. Examination then utilizes special tests and Orthopedic-type testing in order to  diagnose your condition.  Just like a nail requires a hammer and a screw a screw-driver, each diagnosis warrants a specific treatment.

Finally, further examination will identify imbalances or weaknesses that place unnecessary strain on your problem areas. Whether it be strengthening exercises, orthotics, or better nutrition, you'll gain the tools necessary to return to your normal activities and exercises at your very best.

This website is designed to answer questions that you may have about our practice. If you are new to our website, please feel free to discover and learn about how treating the source of your symptoms can help get you out of pain and back to your everyday, active life.

Ever try and hammer a screw? This is an unfortunate pitfall of past chiropractic whereby every patient, no matter the condition, received solely spinal manipulation (adjustment). Instead, Dr. Palombo follows a diagnosis-based treatment model in which your diagnosis (based upon his exam) is paired with a specific treatment. While some diagnoses require soft tissue therapy, others require specific rehabilitation exercises or spine manipulation (adjustment).  Further assessment will reveal what likely caused your condition to develop and what's causing your pain to persist. In this way, your approach is not only holistic but individualized to best address your problem.
